Bruno grew up in the vineyards his great-grandfather planted in the early 20th century near Beaune in Burgundy. Guided by his grandfather in the cellar and working alongside his parents in the vines, he developed an early and lasting connection to the craft — a culture where wine is simply part of everyday life.
While studying winemaking in Dijon, Bruno met Isabelle, who was born and raised in the city. "Divio" — meaning "Sacred Fountain" in Roman Gaul — was the original name of Dijon, an enduring symbol of their Burgundian roots.
A 1996 visit revealed to them that the cool climate and diverse soils of Oregon's Willamette Valley could offer an exceptional home for Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Aligoté. In 2014, they brought this vision to life, establishing Domaine Divio Estate in the celebrated Ribbon Ridge AVA.

Our Philosophy
At Domaine Divio, our philosophy is rooted in a simple idea: to honor classic Burgundian winemaking while allowing Oregon's organically farmed vineyards to speak for themselves. We favor elegance over power — for us, wine is an emotional experience, meant to engage the senses.
Guided by low intervention and precision, we work closely with our vineyard partners and bring meticulous care to every step of the process. The result is wines defined by purity, structure, and finesse.
Above all, we believe exceptional wine begins with respect — for the land, the vintage, and the people who gather to share it.

MINIMAL INTERVENTION, OLD TRADITIONS
Winemaking
Inspired by the traditions of Burgundy and guided by the character of Oregon, we craft wines that express balance, elegance, and a true sense of place — never overworking the fruit, but letting each vineyard site speak with clarity.
Whole-cluster fermentation is a hallmark of our Pinot Noir; our barrel-fermented, minimally-oaked Chardonnay is the signature of our elegant, pure white wines. Each wine ferments spontaneously with wild yeast and is bottled unfined and unfiltered.

RIBBON RIDGE AVA · THE JEWEL OF THE WILLAMETTE VALLEY
The Estate
Bruno and Isabelle purchased the 21-acre estate in the Ribbon Ridge AVA in 2014, drawn to its marine sedimentary soils and high clay content — similar to Bruno's family vineyard in Burgundy. That same year they planted the 13-acre vineyard, embracing dry farming and organic, biodynamic practices that build biodiversity across the property.
No artificial chemicals or conventional sprays are used. Farming without irrigation forces vine roots to dig deep through multiple soil layers — building drought resilience and producing fruit of greater complexity.

Through careful vineyard sourcing, thoughtful farming relationships, and restrained winemaking, we create wines that are elegant, expressive, and true to place. Guests are invited to enjoy our genuine hospitality through intimate tastings, a game of pétanque, or a picnic amid the vineyard's beautiful Willamette Valley views.
Our tasting room is located in the heart of the Ribbon Ridge AVA in Newberg, Oregon, 40 minutes south of Portland.
